Ryan brings extensive cross-sector experience to his academic and professional practice. His career began in the catering industry, where he developed both practical expertise and managerial capability. He subsequently broadened his professional scope within the waste management, retail, and construction sectors, during which he specialised in health and safety and ultimately established his own consultancy.
This diverse background has afforded Ryan a comprehensive understanding of varied organisational contexts and operational practices, which he now integrates into his teaching and consultancy work in health and safety. His recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree has further consolidated his expertise, particularly in relation to health and safety management systems.
Beyond his professional endeavours, Ryan has a strong interest in international travel and cultural exploration. He is also an avid motorcyclist, with a particular enthusiasm for overland journeys, and greatly values the summer months when he can combine his passion for adventure with outdoor pursuits.
